Scola v. Walton Prop
Opening night Rockets v. Lakers -- who scores the most points prop bet. Scola -2 (-110) against Luke Walton +2 (-130)
Shouldn't Scola be a good bet here? He gets to play against Kwame/Chris Mihm, has Yao to help draw some of that post attention away (plus Yao's not a bad passer -- double teams?) whereas Walton has to go against Battier and Wells. Thoughts?

scola is a rookie and probably won't start
the houston chronicle says chuck hayes is starting might want to take that into consideration edit: also oftentimes they put battier on kobe

Ah, interesting to know. I thought that Scola was the projected starter. And although he's a rookie, that's sort of misleading -- he's been dominating European competition for years. Is Walton starting for the Lakers?

scola is good and will eventually be the starting pf for the rockets, but on opening night I would say its 30% he starts, even if he does start he will split time with hayes
walton usually starts i think, he averaged 33 min last year, I doubt scola gets that many tonight, but we'll see scola also has standard new euro problems with foul trouble walton averages 11 pts scola scored more than that in only 2 out of 7 preseason games, once against greece and the other against the spurs backups the more i think about it, the more i would be tempted to bet walton
