sunday mil bust hand, misplay or ok?

i had 7500 at the 300/600 level, been at the table ~3 orbits and haven't played a single hand. Hijack had been pretty activly opening, pt had him at ~35/17

hijack w/ ~35,000 chips opened for 1800, i shoved the button w/44 giving him ~2:1 on his call. standard vs this agro opponent?
