$16 - KK, surprise card hits
Sorry, I can't remember reads, but how is this?
I think it's too passive and I might have lost a lot of value. When the ace hit on the flop, I figured it was likely in his calling range and I played it save. Re: $16 - KK, surpise card hits
Looks fine to me. There's an overcard, and three cards to a heart flush on the board already, not to mention the pair of tens. It is a little passive, but your hand isn't amazingly strong here.
I can also see another smallish bet on the river, maybe 300 if you think you're ahead here, but I think I like checking better. |

Re: $16 - KK, surprise card hits
Against just one player I'd usually just bet this flop for about 200, an ace is a huge part of our range and a lot of what villain has will probably give up right away.

I used to always check with an ace on flop but now I always bet and am very suprised at how often I take it down. |

[/ QUOTE ] You can make an argument for betting the flop, but getting villain to fold worse hands really shouldn't be part of it. |

I think betting on flop makes sense if he is likely to fold Ace-rag (a better hand).

Re: $16 - KK, surprise card hits
Why would he fold post if he called pre with an A-rag and hit top pair? Betting the flop only folds out hands you beat, and get calls by hands that beat you.
I would have checked turn also, and called a bet. Same on river. |
