Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
[ QUOTE ]
As a Padres fan, I knew that would happen. I give a 40% of Hoffman coming back next year. He had two chances to lock it up, including Saturday, and blew both. All things equal though, a hell of a game. One of the best games I've ever watched. WTG Rockies and I'll be rooting for you in the playoffs. [/ QUOTE ] Fun rooting against ya bro. |

Such a shame to see the game end on a [censored] call like that. [/ QUOTE ] Looked like a bad call. Good way for the crapshoot known as MLB playoffs to start. Should be a more interesting series with the Phillies though - 2 hot offensive teams - in Coors and the bandbox in Philly. |

[ QUOTE ] Four hour baseball games? [/ QUOTE ] Considering it was 13 inning 9-8 ballgame, I was surprised it was only four hours and change. [/ QUOTE ] They said 4 hours and 10 minutes. Within the last 3 seasons, IIRC, there have been two regular season 9-inning games played between the Sox and Yankees that were like 4:45 and 4:42 or something. So stupid. What a bunch of drama wh.ores. This was an actual playoff game that went extras and otherwise moved at a slow pace and still was well shorter. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Argh, I left my girlfriend's after the 2 run shot by the Padres because I figured it was over. Ugh. I can't believe I missed the end to this! [/ QUOTE ] Fans like you suck. [/ QUOTE ] seriously. you lose the internets [/ QUOTE ] After checking out that guy's posts, I'm beginning to think his title might be sarcastic. |

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
McClellan might also have been waiting to see if Barrett held on to the ball.
