Default 1/2 NL Live - Help with this Mess of a hand

Villain has been pretty active so far. He's in about 40% of the pots but hasn't shown down a loser. He's relatively creative as well, he's 3 bet a few Cbets with air and i've seen him float a few times as well. My image is TAG at this point and my raises are getting a decent amount of respect. Anyway, I hate the way I played this so thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Me - $300
Villain Covers with about $500 or so

Villain opens in MP for $6
Folded to me. I look down at K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], I repop to $20 in the small blind.
Folded back to Villain who makes it $40
At this point, even though villain is a tricky, loose player, I dont think he makes this play with anything but JJ+ and AK.
I think for a little and decided to flat call.
Flop comes A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I check, villain checks
Turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet $50, villain calls
River 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I bet $50, villain raises to $150,
What's my play here? Can I lay this down or is it a push. Like I said, this hand is a trainwreck and I need a major line fix.

Isn't his raise on the river exactly what we want? This is where you shove and double up...

You are only beat by AA or 66, come on...
and if he has it.. cooler, don't tilt

Checking the flop is fine. I would probably bet a bit more on the turn, but 50 works. You should be making a larger valuebet on the river here, 50 is not nearly enough (i'd make it about 120).

As played it appears villain slowplayed either AA or AK on the flop. AK is much more likely than AA so definetly get it in. If he has AA, thats just unlucky but there is no way you can fold the second best full house here.

Can you be clearer about what your confusion is?

You identified his range, and you crush it, losing to only AA. Honestly, I don't like the flop check or the size of the turn bet--I would bet flop and bet larger on the turn.

But, as played, this is a no brainer pooooosh.

You obviously suspect he has AA, so given your read, just call the river raise.

Folding anywhere in this hand would be crazy, crazy, cazy. So, don't fold.

But, in general, if you're not going all-in preflop with KK vs his JJ+/AK range, then you're certainly going to try to get it all in on the flop or turn.

I certainly hope the flop check was trying to c/r. I'd have bet out on the flop and been happy to call an all-in.

Checking flop is OK, not because you're scared, but because you want him to C Bet with QQ or whatever else.

Turn lead should probably be more, we want to get some money into this pot, we want to play for stacks.

River VB should be more too. He called so he must have something he likes at least a little.

There's like 190 in the pot I think and you have a little over 200 left. You could push, hoping he has AK, but I say you at least should put in 100, AQ would likely call given that you haven't displayed THAT much strength yet.

I guess you got scared because he 4 bet you PF. It's a concern that he has AA, but once you set up on the flop you have no choice but to lose your stack if that is what he has.

On the end his range is AA and AK. There are 3 combos of AK and 3 combos of AA. I can't fold this. Ever.

Did you consider c/c on the river? You lose the min to AA and pick up a little more EV for those times he makes a play at you, as long as you are reasonably sure he is aggressive enough not to check through the river.

Obv this cant be layed down on the river as played, but does anyone like a rereraise to 120ish and then just pushing the flop? Also, is the conscensous a river push or call?

Push - and if he has a/a or 6/6 (which is very unlikely), then just reload.
