NL50, JTs float on the button...
sorry, no converter, from memory. my read on villain is that he basically bets the strength of his own hand.
effective stacks are $45. blinds: $0.25/$0.50 UTG raises to $2.50, (all fold) Hero calls J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] bad spot/cards to float? SB folds, BB folds. Flop ($5.75): 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG bets $4, Hero raises $10, UTG thinks for a long time and calls. Turn ($25.75): 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG checks, Hero pushes... I think it seems fishy'ish to me on basically every street... edited: got the suits mixed up. sorry! corrected inline... |

Re: NL50, JTs float on the button...
You can't have the Th in your hand and flop it at the same time.
If you had a straight flush draw with a paired board, I think the push is fine. We have outs on anything he has, and fold equity. |

Re: NL50, JTs float on the button...
This isn't floating and I really think that your opponent is going to think that the 9 is a good card for his OP. He may have overcards and that's a reason to check behind. Let him hit his tainted outs.
Floating is calling a flop bet(usually with nothing) with the intention of taking it away on the turn after the pfr checks his whiffed overcards. |
