$33 NLTRN - 2nd hand, 99 facing limp/shove

This is the 2nd hand of the match, so obviously I have no reads. 1st hand he cold called my raise and folded to my cbet on AJ3 rainbow flop. He is -16% roi on SS with average buyin of $17, but thats only 77 games, and the last 8 games he won only 2 of them.

If his is scope is so poor, why not pick a better spot. He may do that with any number of hands. It's tempting to win the game so early as its the best way to win, but I think you should wait and find a better opportunity to pick him off. Even if he's donking with say 10j or greater you are not a proverbial favorite.

This is old and has been laid to rest many times in the past . The point about playing sng's is not about maximizing your win rate . If that's your goal , then quit playing sng's . A better way to analyze the " I'm better than you so I'll wait for a better spot " is to compare your EV/hand or $/h with your expected $/h had you folded and waited for a better spot . Even if you're ahead of his range by a marginal amount ( anything better than the rake) , then it's imperative that you make the call .

The weakest hand I call here is AK (suited or off suite) and 88 (maybe 77, but I`m not quite sure with that)

Honestly, with that record he could have ATC. Of course a heavier weight on AK/AQ and big PP but he really could be on anything. Some players just defy logic.
