Re: Absolute Does Not Respond to Two Plus Two’s Fraud Investigation O
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Cliffnotes: 2+2 offered to pay an independent team of lawyers to do a thorough investigation of the situation and report back to the community their findings, whatever they are. Absolute has not responded and does not seem interested even though it would cost them nothing and increase their credibility greatly. [/ QUOTE ] fail [/ QUOTE ] uh, unless im way off, Mason clearly stated that the lawyers would only accept compensation from 2+2 so 2+2 is paying and AP doesnt have to pay anything, like I said. [/ QUOTE ] 4. They would accept direct compensation for the investigation only from Two Plus Two as a client. mason isn't paying for abso's lawyers LDO |

[/ QUOTE ] Sounds like AP is just too scared that we'd do a too thorough an investigation. They obviously are trying to hide something. If they didn't have anything to hide, what do they have to lose besides increase community confidence that they are safe to play on? |

[/ QUOTE ] Or maybe they already have enough people investigating them and they don't have to say yes to every request. Sure they are doing their best to cover it up, but maybe they think that all of the stuff they are doing is necessary and they don't have bend over backwards to accommodate Mason's demands because they already have independent auditors and several representatives of the poker community committed to doing something. |

Re: Absolute Does Not Respond to Two Plus Two’s Fraud Investigation O
Mason and 2+2:
Please keep the pressure on and don't let this go away quietly. While some people have obviously been paid off to help the company "move forward" by releasing all these wonderful statements of how AP is cleaned up now (ROFL), these people don't represent the feelings of the majority of the players who have been effected directly and indirectly by this Grand Theft and Fraud. Please continue to do the right thing and force these scumbags out of the poker industry. We will all benefit in the long run. Thanks again for not "selling out" when that would be the easiest and most profitable thing to do. |

Re: Absolute Does Not Respond to Two Plus Two’s Fraud Investigation O
TAG:
Anyone can find a conspiracy in anything. Maybe Mason owns Absolute. LOL. But my money is on that he's stepping forward to try to fill the vacuum left by nonexistent oversight in this billion dollar offshore industry that his company would greatly like to see continue to prosper. I think the important part in the long run is that this be throroughly investigated. Whether it was one bad apple or a whole tree isn't the point. The point is that there is currently no real mechanism to get to bottom of an issue like this with an online poker room, and that is appalling. If it was disclosed that higher ups at a Vegas casino were engaged in cheating, there would be criminal, civil, and licensure ramifications. I don't think you should be attacking the best scenario offered thusfar. We don't have a gaming commission. And if the US is willing to thumb its nose at the WTO as well as ignore the potential tax revenue that online poker can offer in order to cow-tow to a few religous zealots, so be it. It's the wild west for the foreseeable future, and I think online players ought to be grateful. Quite frankly, AP's resistence tells me where they stand, and I don't really need the investigation to occur. The offer and rejection is quite informative. |
