$1500 is fine, 3 buyins for the $500 max 2-5 game at Bellagio and for the normal casual player and I think is probably a decent stop loss for a casual player that you seen to be
I would go with Bellagio as its the lowest NL game there and normally pretty soft |

If his trip to vegas is just a day trip, then yea, go nuts with 1500 at 2/5. Otherwise, bring 3k or play 1/2. |

Short stack $300 gives you a slight advantage as well as 5 buy ins.
