Happier to see the win or the loss?

Re: Happier to see the win or the loss?
I root for the underdogs. And even though I'm a Penn State fan (1 semester there) and hate tOSU accordingly, I'm also a Notre Dame fan (I'm Irish,) so I was definitely happier to see them win than one of my teams lose. I also felt good for Tressel, who is a tremendous coach, and his indiviual performers.

I have nothing against the Irish.
First one is tough for me, but I'll say the horns win was better. |

Re: Happier to see the win or the loss?
[ QUOTE ]
I don't usually like polls, but after the reaction to these two games, I'm really curious as to the results of this [/ QUOTE ] I hate Texas. I think there are about the most underachieving team in college football year in and year out. They always have one of the top 5 recruiting classes and start the year ranked near the top of the polls yet hadn't won the big game in 35 years. That said, I hate USC even more. If its possible for a team on a 34 game winning streak to be overrated USC certainly was. They were a very good team but they were not nearly as good as everyone talked them up to be. They constantly let inferior teams stay in the game which truely dominating team don't do. They were an OK defensive team at best which keeps them from being anywhere near the top of my all-time best teams list since I expect truely great teams to be complete and not one dimensional. So with that in mind I am much happier to see USC lose than Texas win. As for ND vs OSU, I have no real fealing for OSU so I just want to see ND lose since they didn't belong there in the first place (and I hate ND, doesn't everyone?). The only thing I ever had against OSU was Maurice Clarett who has finally managed to live up to my expectations for him. |

Re: Happier to see the win or the loss?
This wasn't a win for texas. This was a defeat for what is american and good.
Let me be the first to suggest a political conspiracy involved in this football game. It's my honest belief that our commander in chief had a say in the booth... I.E. knee down play not reviewed and the obvous pick called incomplete. you guys are being naive. It was all about the oil. |

I am a ND fan. Hence I hate USC. I have no reason to care about Texas at all and was very happy to see USC lose.

Re: Happier to see the win or the loss?
as someone who has no affinity w/ USC or Texas, i was hoping to see USC win 3 in a row, purely b/c i doubt we'll get that chance again.
it's like horse racing. i could care less, but it'd be nice to see a triple crown winner. when in doubt, root for the memorable. |

Re: Happier to see the win or the loss?
I was happy to see two really good games (tonight and PSU) - and a few other really good bowl games this year. (Michigan, ect)
I couldn't have cared less who won, I was just happy to be able to watch the games come down to the last minute or OT or eight laterals. |
