Default few simple H\'s from cashgame donk

I need to improve my tourney game, badly. I wanted to get some feedback on 2 hands I played today.

Poker Stars, $200 + $15 NL Hold'em Tournament, 50/100 Blinds, 9 Players

MP2: 10,550
CO: 11,075
BTN: 13,400
Hero (SB): 9,675
BB: 6,750
UTG: 10,575
UTG+1: 8,675
UTG+2: 9,100
MP1: 10,575

Pre-Flop: (150) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
5 folds, CO raises to 300, BTN folds, Hero raises to 1,200, BB folds, CO calls 900

Flop: (2,500) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets 1,600, CO calls 1,600

Turn: (5,700) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, CO bets 3,300, Hero folds

Results: 5,700 Pot
CO mucked and WON 5,700 (+2,900 NET)

villain was 25/11 over 30 hands. I was wondering if it's reasonable play to just check-fold the flop. I understand it sounds weak but so often on those flops I find my self getting called on flop and being forced to second barrel to win the pot.

second hand: opener was 14/14 over 40 hands, and the 3 bettor was 24/12

3 folds, MP1 raises to 400, MP2 raises to 1,200, 1 folds and it's my turn..6.8k effective stacks

last one..not sure if I should bet the turn, or bet less on the river, vs a 30/20 guy

I'll actually respond now because I feel bad that I didn't.

Hand 1, I usually just flat preflop in the million because it's unlikely they're calling with too many dominated hands preflop but you can bloat the pot as soon as you flop TPTK and just check/fold other boards. I agree, betting this flop just feels gross and check/folding feels too weak.

Hand 2, pretty easy fold. One thing about tournaments is people's reraising/calling reraises range is MUCH tighter than it is in cash games. Makes JJ an easy laydown here.

Hand 3, I probably bet like 2500 on the river instead of shoving because even an idiot can recognize you almost always want a call here by overbet shoving. It looks too strong to the average player these days. Before the river, seems good. If he had made it 300 preflop I would just call btw.

Hand 1: I don't raise quite as much purely because it makes it look like what it is.
Hand 2: fold
Hand 3: I agree with gobbo make a smaller bet.

Hand 1 and 2 are standard.
Hand 3 I probably 1/2 pot river.

Hand 1 I also like flatting pre.
Hand 2 I think it's important to notice it was a 4x open which is more important on stars than fulltilt/ub by alot IMO w/ no bet pot button. So that makes it alot easier also.
Hand 3 Open minraising is pretty weak so he has like some whack missed straight draw/9s full/quads/a lower pp that got counterfeited. Yeah, bet smaller cause this type of player seems more stationy to a two-thirds-stack/full pot sized bet than an "OMG ALL IN" type play I think.

thanks for the replies everyone i thought i wasn't getting any. I feel like I should be 3 betting a wide range to steal so 3bet with AK seems mandatory then again, just flatting pre seems to lower the variance a ton and end up resulting in increase in % of getting more chips in as a fav.

Hand 1. Bet size tell preflop. You could flat call. The guy reraised from CO, so you are probably reraising with a lot of hands and he calls with plenty of dominated ones. I would definately reraise.

This is a terrible flop for you, two high cards, and you didn't even flop a gutshot. Due to your bet size tell, it is hard to represent a big pair, so I would check/fold rather than cbet.
