Default All in, NL cash games

I just played a few hands tonite and noticed that the cards aren`t shown till the river if two (or more ) players are all in. Why is that?

Thanks.

just how cash games are. in tournies you must show your cards. Don't know why it is.

It mimics a live cash game where players all-in don't have to flip over their cards. At the river, the showing starts at the SB so some players can muck without showing their cards.

Tourneys are different where all cards have to turned over immediately.

^^ shame. the game looses a little something for me. Alot of the excitement of all ins is gone without showing the cards straight away. (not a dealbreaker or anything, just a shame)

I think this may depend on the site you play. Party shows at the river, Crypto shows once no more betting is possible.
