Default 1920x1200 Monitor

So it looks like I can get up to 2048x1536 resolution, but I guess 1920x1200 is the biggest flat panel available for anything less than a 30". Assuming I don't mind paying a few extra bucks to get the perfect monitor for me, what should I shoot for? I will probably play as many tables as my screen allows, and I play on different sites with different screen resolutions, so that's not a make-or-break factor for me.

It looks like I can get the Dell 2707WFP for $700 (http://beskas.com/product_info.php?products_id=1858). Is the extra size worth the difference in price between that and, say, a 24" Acer (at Best Buy for $400). Also, is there really any difference between a Dell/Samsung monitor and a cheaper monitor like Acer/Westinghouse? Most of the Dell/Samsung monitors appear to be a couple hundred more than the cheaper brands.

I just got the Dell 2407WFP. It's 1920x1200. I love it. It's the coolest thing ever. Fantastically wonderful.

I keep hearing good things about it, but I just wonder if it's any better than the $400 Acer.

I guess a good comparison for anyone that knows would be the 2407WFP vs. the 24" Acer and the 2407WFP vs. the 2707WFP.

Yeah, I can't believe how cheap the Acer is. I was about to start a thread asking about it.

Acer AL2416WBSD 24-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor

Selling on TigerDirect and elsewhere for ~$400.

The Acer doesn't have DVI, which is something you'd want above 1600x1200.

But for it's price it's still great.

I was in a Costco the other day and this one was on sale for about $460. It gets good to great reviews on Amazon and Neweqq.

In Costco's online store they just put up a special deal on a 24" DCL LCD for about $350. Don't know if this brand is any good; perhaps we can get feedback here. Here's a link on the overclockers forum with a sub-link to the Costco ad.

I'm hoping my 21" CRT dies soon (it's coughing and wheezing and jiggling as I write) so I have something that matches well with my 22" Samsung 213T which set me back $900 a few years back!
