Default Swing analysis (video) Driver problems

Having problems with the driver, need consistency.

Fairway woods, irons, and short game are coming together. The driver however is killing my game. Can’t seem to get the ball in play consistently, have to constantly use a trusty stinger (lose at least 20 yards distance) off the tee to make sure I keep a decent round going. Have absolutely zero confidence in my driver.

Problems I know to work on:

Too much sway on the take away.
Wrist turns over too soon when I really want (draw shot) good distance. Result-hook
Should use a more neutral grip (just can’t seem to get comfortable it)

The past few rounds, I’ve had to alter my stance to make sure I keep one side of the course out of play. (Exaggerated open stance on dogleg right holes, vice versa with left)

Comments appreciated.

My suggestion is to just hit your 3 wood off the tee until you are completely solid with it. The extra 30 yards you get with the driver aren't worth the problems.

Get a shot of you from behind the ball. It's hard to tell what you are doing otherwise.

It doesn't look like you draw the ball so much as pull the ball. If I'll see what I think I'll see when you take video from behind you then try this:

Line up the ball like you are going to hit it straight. Then try and hit the ball straight about 25 yards to the right of your normal target. This will force you to swing in to out and away to the right. You are coming over the top in the last bit of the swing. Do this concentrating on keeping your shoulders square through impact. Then try it hit some just normally. It should straighten things out.

I have a feeling that the reason you can hit your stinger correctly is because you aren't doing this turn/pull move.

That's an awesome driving range. Where is that? I like how the ball automatically gets placed on the tee for you.

Is that a Hi-Bore?

LOL, I stopped watching his swing and concentrated on the ball coming up We definitely need something like that around here.

I ain't no expert, but what I would say is:

1. It looks like you have the ball pretty far forward in your stance. Try moving it back a little it.

2. You are swaying a lot with your hips and your finish seems to be off balance. Try sitting back on a high chair and swinging to "stabilize" your lower body.

Yeah, there is a lot of back and forth movement going on....relax a little. Your head should be in the same spot- not going back and forth.
