Default foxwoods saturday $560 -xpost

also posted this in B+M -- any thoughts from you guys?

Going up to Foxwoods this week and playing in the $560 Saturday tournament.. wondering if any of you guys have played this, how it plays, etc.

Structure seems pretty good, I think. Comments on that?

How early is registration? Is there a cap?

Never been to Foxwoods, just Turning Stone and AC.

Answers to these, or anything else you might have to add would be great.

I'd be interested in this as well. Will probably hit foxwoods up sometime in November.

I'll post a TR when I get back on Monday - just wondering from someone in the know if it fills/how many runners/what the prizes look like, etc.

I've played in this tournament a few times at Foxwoods.

The structure is o.k. The first four levels are fine, but then the structure speeds up drastically after that. You start with 10k chips and levels are 30 minutes long. The auto shufflers are used, which helps a little bit. The first 8 levels are as follows:

25-50
50-100
100-200
100-200/25
200-400/50
300-600/75
400-800/100
600-1200/150

I'm not sure when registration opens, but you can register into the first level (if there are still open seats). I've seen the tourney get anywhere between 40-80 players, and have never seen it capped.

There's a typical mix of players in this tourney...You'll run into a few FW pros, but also quite a few bad players.

How does this one compare to the Sunday $340 they have. More/less runners, time to complete, etc.
