I'm an hour away and I have friends I could stay with.

If the chipleaders of 1st day seem pretty weak/good players are knocked out, I will seriously think about it.

The edge you get of knowing who has done well and not on day 1 sounds ridiculously low. There are a zillion things that have to click to FT one of these things, and knowing that Phil Ivey is top 3 or busted after the first day seems like one of the least important ones.
