Default laptop battery question

Is it bad for the battery to keep it plugged in/keep the notebook charging when it is already fully charged? does it waste battery life? am i supposed to fully charge it, then unplug the charger and wait till it gets to a low battery level then charge it again?

I've heard all sorts of voodoo about batteries. I personally don't worry about it. I plug-in at my desk and unplug on the go. Seems straightforward.

Most laptop batteries are Lithium based. Lithium batteries have a memory and you can change the run time of the battery by charging it incorrectly. The golden rule is to charge the battery to full capacity and then drain it totally before recharging.
