#1 and #2 I'd really like to think that if this enterprise is worth doing, my wife/friends/family can be convinced of that. Otherwise they don't respect me as a person and hell if I'm going to change my life for someone like that.

#3 No way I'd let the poker gods win like that. If anything I might quit after I won $10mil or something and accomplished all my goals. I could see getting bored with it after that.

E)If I somehow became disinterested. I am relatively unaffected by downswings they are a part of the game. If your girlfriend wants to leave you because of something you love to do she should not be your girlfriend. If your family wants to disown you because of poker then you probably don't have a healthy family situation and poker is not the real problem. Anyway those are just my random thoughts. Of course it is always important to keep a balanced life with poker being just one part of that. I won't be quitting anytime soon!

That might do it. But only because I wouldn't be able to afford to replace the monitor that I threw through the wall.
