Good Sample Size?
I'm sure this has been gone over 100000X, but i don't see it in any sticky or FAQ. What is a good sample size to start judging win rate?
30K hands? |

30k is more than enough for the micro's. |

Your winrate will probably be within 4 PTBB or so of your true winrate. After 100k hands you should have a very good idea of your true winrate, but if you're beating a limit, there's no reason to play 100k hands there (at the micros). Though I do have like 150k hands lifetime of NL 50. |

Re: Good Sample Size?
ok, I've only got 15K hands @ NL 50 right now....
I'm a guy who used to play NL 2/4 regularly with only 5-10 buyins and basically made a living off of it for 6 months until I went to 10/20 and went busto Then i played NL 100 for a while with 10-20 buyins and lived off that for about a year until I went busto due to tilt. Now I won a freeroll and am trying to play legitimately. I don't want ot ever go busto again plus I wanna give myself a shot at moving to NL 50/100. I will try to play 100K at each level before moving up. |

Re: Good Sample Size?
30K hands can tell you if you're a winner in the game you play or not.
For a close estimation of your winrate, try 100K hands... |
