Looks like a remake of the old SNES game "E.V.O.". That game was awesome.

"Spore, which will be released sometime in May of 2006, was programmed entirely by one man -- Will Wright. Wright has spent the last 10 years developing the game. The reason he worked alone was because of the level of specificity he had for his specifications. Wright holds a PhD in Computer Science from Harvard University."

I can basically forget ever seeing the sun again.

Or ever stepping foot outside my apartment for that matter.

Sopranos starts next Sunday, then this comes out in May. What more can you ask for?

I just can't comprehend the genius of Will Wright, all his games are these beautiful sandboxes of full of potential and non-linear awesomeness. This one however sounds a million times better than his past games. I've watched the video 3 times now, when he zooms out from the solar system and sees all the galaxies my jaw just drops.

If this was an mmorpg I would lose my life, I would seriously never leave the house. Luckily it's single player but with a shared content system, which sounds intriguing, but means I will sitll occasionally need social contact outside the game.

I hope this turns out half as good as it looks.
