Default An odd play

400nl, 6max, 100bb stacks. Hero button with 10[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] with a tag image most likely

SB looks solid but has made a few mistakes, that said hes no fish. CO knows how to play as well but isnt aggressive enough.

Anyway, CO open limps, I raised last orbit in this spot so I take an alternative line.

CO limps, Hero limps, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (16)

SB bets 15, BB folds, CO calls 15, Hero raises to 60, SB insta folds, CO calls 45.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (150)

CO checks, Hero checks.

River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (150)

CO bets 60, Hero raises to 120

not sure what you're representing on the river.

He could easily have a missed draw. But I think any A looks you up here, given the immense pot odds he's getting.

Just fold the flop and I agree with the first respons, what hand are you representing? Maybe it doesnt matter if he was on the come and missed, but still. Guess river is OK, but I prefer not being there at all

Rotating Rabbit,

In general a minraise on river is a disaster.

His riverbet certainly looks like a weak ace, KQ or a monster that doesnt think he will get more than 60 from you.

Fold.

If the river was a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] a raise looks ok but then you have to make it bigger.

Also, against Freddy Deeb your play is fine.

I like it. This is missed clubs more often than not, I think - what kind of hand flat-calls one bet and then flat-calls a raise behind it? Does something like A6 really play it this way?

I'd still raise more because a weak A probably still looks you up here.
