Default Betting blind against the Yankees

It is my theory that the following factors this year combine to make it profitable to bet blind against the Yankees in all games except Red Sox matchups:

1) higher than normal parity throughout baseball
2) general overhype of the yanks (standard)
3) dead money coming in by yanks fans (standard)

I'm excluding Sox matchups because I feel they are equally overhyped and thus the line won't get as distorted in those games. I will put a unit on these games and track it in this thread. I hope others will join me.

Try this one too. mrbaseball has had success with it, though I think perhaps he bet them selectively.

Not exactly blindly. But betting on the Royals and/or against the Yankees often has value due to the hype/anti-hype involved. Depends of course on a lot of different factors but more often than not edges can be found in the undervalued Royals or fading the overvalued Yankees due to public prejudices.

Good point, and I have basically four responses, the first of which is probably the most important.

1. I hate the Yankees more so I will get more joy out of winning money vs. them
2. I think on a day to day basis, more regular money comes in on the Yanks, but when Yanks/Sox get matched up then Boston fans will pay more attention (ie bet more). Thus I think the Yanks/DRays lines are more distorted than Sox/DRays lines, although those are probably distorted too.
3. Ease of administration
4. I'm testing a theory I'd rather not put two units on everyday.
