(assuming you are not working on a stone age model). All percieved lag is the result of the software waiting on a reply from the full tilt servers. You only percieve the lag on full tilt because it seems they share server connection handling and the painting of the windows on your screen in the same processing thread (or alternatively, the painting thread is waiting to get a lock on something locked by the connection thread or some such). |

Re: ideas to make full tilt lag less
Hmm, I don't think the PT and FT processes are dependent on each other in anyway (would take some hacking by PT..) So PT would have to be lagging your entire computer which perhaps is more noticeable on Full Tilt with it's tendency to hang while waiting for a response from the server..
Either way, it can easily be fixed on PT's end by implementing thread sleep calls every 20 milliseconds or so for the said actions that take awhile. |

Re: ideas to make full tilt lag less
Assuming Windows XP, Right Click Desktop > Properties > Theme Tab > Choose Windows Classic. This made all the difference in the world for me.

Re: ideas to make full tilt lag less
I should add, my computer is probably worse than anyone here. Formerly I experienced terrible, unplayable lag with 6 tables or more with no HUD and no PT running. I now 12 table with no lag while running RT HUD and FTS script.

Re: ideas to make full tilt lag less
I open up stars when I want to play poker instead of tilt...lol j/k
once you're on the max number of tables you want to play, uncheck all the boxes (low, mid, high) so no tables show. Seems to help for me. |
