Hi
i downloaded the Avast and seemed kinda good, but it seems to me that its using quite a lot of resources.. is there any other antivirus out their that is good and runs perfectly without slowing down the computer in the background?

I use AVG on my machine with Vista 32 and like it. Got a free edition and I think it works fine. (not that I've had any viruses to find out for sure).

ESET NOD32 is what I use and I think uses the lowest resources of all (it's taking 3mb and 0 CPU right now). Used it for years, bulletproof.

www.eset.com/

Give it a try, 30 day free trial from website.

Make sure you dont run two at the same time.
