Default Good Halo 3 HU4ROLLZ games/maps/settings

It appears that a HU grudge match is developing between myself and fellow SSNLer shpanko because of our massive videogame egos. What are some good games to play that will match our wits and skill in epic battles?

Duel on guardian. Normal weapon set. It's probably the best because it doesn't have a rocket launcher.

Also, let me get in on this [censored]. Is there a halo 3 betting thread?

I'll take action in halo 3. Someone play me. Also, best for dueling is no shotgun, sword, or maulers. Starting weapon br, no radar. Good stuff.

I played HU4ROLLZ against cowpig a couple weeks ago for like $10/match (though he kept requesting double or nothing when he lost so it eventually got up to $80) when he was drunk on the weekend. We did standard Duel w/ the marker over the leader's head; that worked kinda well and I don't think either of us really had any complaints.

A few days later I played HU4ROLLZ against shpanko where around $200 of side action was placed on the match; we did best out of 5 slayer, first to 15, on Guardian/Epitaph/The Pit/Isolation/Snowbound. We played the first match with markers over both of our heads and decided afterwards that those settings suck badly; when both players know where the other is, you just get into a stalemate where nobody wants to jump into the other person's line of fire. We then switched it to no markers over anyone's head and sometimes it took way too long in between confrontations because neither of us knew where the other person was. Having tried all combinations, I think having the marker over the leader's head is the best choice for all but the smallest maps like Guardian.

I think some tweaking of items is definitely necessary though. This was really evident on Epitaph, where various use of invisibility/overshield/rocket launchers seriously tilted the game in favor of whoever had those items at the time.

fwiw I won that one too.
