River decision with top pair 5-10
Don't have exact stats on the guy but my read is he's a calling station. He was playing 1 table I think and I haven't played with him before.
Poker Stars, $5/$10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter BB: $1,559 UTG: $192 Hero (MP): $1,058 CO: $847 BTN: $2,181.10 SB: $1,117 Pre-Flop: J K dealt to Hero (MP) UTG folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $40</font>, CO folds, BTN calls $40, 2 folds Flop: ($95) 5 J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero bets $60</font>, BTN calls $60 Turn: ($215) 6 (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero bets $160</font>, BTN calls $160 River: ($535) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) effective stacks are $798 on the river. My only two options are betting and check/folding. I am not sure which is the better decision. |

Re: River decision with top pair 5-10
if he's a station...then betting is obv better
bet half pot or something and fold to shove |

Re: River decision with top pair 5-10
since he's a station i might try to charge him more on the turn, like 200ish. he'll probably pay it if he's on a draw. i'd bet like 275 and fold.
