when the King turns, don't you guys think it makes it pretty hard for a worse hand to call?

You're joking, right?

meh. i don't know. this is a pretty worthless post, i guess. probably instigated by boredom more than anything else. what i feel like is i've reached a point where i've posted about so much it's hard to come up with new situations. for some reason i thought there could be some discussion about the turn play. here, i know the "standard" is to bet, but in the current online environment i wonder if we need to reevaluate some of our "standard" plays.

[/ QUOTE ]

ok maybe this will light up the discussion

what do we do if we get checkraised? always throw our hand in the muck?

[/ QUOTE ]

If we get checkraised, I'm leaving this game, since we are first to act.

Raised by who? The BB? Does the BB call and the Button raise? Do the BB fold and the button raise?

This is too many what-ifs for me, so I'm waiting for the next chapter in the story.

Heh, button probably has AA.

I think the best thing to do is bet and call a raise then checkfold the river.

No raise preflop = ace is less likely.

i'm less worried about a raise and more worried about maximizing value.

i did bet the turn, they both folded. afterwards i thought about how tough it would be(from their perspective) to call with a worse made hand given the pot size and previous action.
