No Country for Old Men looks awesome. Too bad it's not playing anywhere within 200 miles of where I live.

American Gangster- Solid, kind of lengthy and drawn out in the middle. Was a little too keen on the drug scene for me, but admittedly that is the primary concern in the movie. Good enough action type stuff for me to enjoy and good acting. C+.

Dan in Real Life- Not really good. Steve Carrell gives a good performance, but the entire movie is pretty awkward and has kind of bad timing. Not really my style. D+.

I've also watched a lot of movies on video, someone link me to that thread and I'll give plenty of reviews of stuff that people have probably already seen.

yeah, I thought it was far too long given what actually happened (not that much). it was ok, but I was expecting something good.

Anyone saw Lions for Lamb yet? It looks like it has a promising cast but is Redford a good director?

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead - Sidney Lumet directed movie with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke and a very often and very naked Marisa Tomei - about two brothers who rob a jewelry store and something goes wrong.... Very good performances, nicely paced. Ending could have been better but overall worth it.

I was ecstatic to hear this:

For those of you who enjoyed city of god, here is a sequel type movie. I really really enjoyed city of god and highly recommend it.

Has anybody heard anything about Southland Tales? Here's a link to the trailer. This might be awesome or terrible, either way I think I want to see it.

I saw No Country for Old Men yesterday.... really liked it. It is the best movie I have seen in a long time. There is even a really good scene that relates to gambling.
