Default Robert Anton Wilson, RIP

Robert Anton Wilson, co-author of The Illuminatus! Trilogy (among other works), passed away this morning. I don't know if any other 2p2ers are fans of his work, but the guy was a helluva a writer and had a first rate mind. He will be missed.

I'll always remember RAW for a joke that he wrote on his blog (I'm not sure if he originated it, but is was on his blog)

Man is walking on a trail at a park when he sees a white duck that is splattered with sh^t all over its body. He continues to walk and sees another duck walk in front of him also with $hi-t splattered all over its body. He keeps on walking and sees yet another white duck with $--t all over its white feathers.

Then he sees a naked man who proceeds to walk toward him. He asks the naked man, "Did you see all of those ducks that had sh-t splatterd all over them?" The naked man replies, "Yes, I saw them. I used them to wipe my a-- after I took a dump".

He died on the 11th, huh? He couldn't have waited 12 more days?

Wow, that's really sad. RAW had a huge impact on my life. I discovered him when I was maybe 15 and his writings turned my on to so many different things which now play a part in my life. I know he was really suffering at the end and was under hospice care, so this is probably for the best.

wow. RIP RAW.

Illuminatus is still one of my favorite books.

I loved when created the Guns and Dope party and ran in the CA recall election.
