So January 1st they will start reducing bonuses from rakeback so that there is no longer reason to leave if you have no rakeback.

Where did you get this information?

The email RTR quoted was much longer, but I don't recall seeing anything about bonuses in there.

This is what I am trying to see also. RTR doesn't talk about bonuses at all, maybe I'm missing something.

Sorry, I was just speculating. :O No real info. I just can't see any other reason why they would do it.

I assume existing accounts will go from 28 to 30.
Does this have anything to do with the merger of UB?
I don't think bonus will go away. This is how they attract what little fish they have.

Im guessing it has alot to do with the merger.. AB goes from 28 to 30, UB goes from 32 down to 30..

This really worries me.

Why would they change it? I doubt they get single new customer because of raising rakeback to 30%. Only reason I can see for this is because they have got fed up of people leaving them because they can't get transferred to rakeback. So January 1st they will start reducing bonuses from rakeback so that there is no longer reason to leave if you have no rakeback.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've heard UB is going to have a public cap of 30% soon so I would presume this move by Absolute to 30% is to get in line with UB for the merger. Hopefully UB will allow for the up to 35% deal to continue after the merger.

So AP and UB are likely merging sometime soon. I don't know exactly what to think of this. Are they planning on keeping UB or AP as the site where they combine players? Will AP/UB offer the bonuses/points system the way AP currently does? The bonuses/points are really worth a ton of money with all the volume I play(5000-5500/month). This would really really suck balls if they don't continue these current benefits. Any information from the affiliates/informed appreciated. Thanks.

We don't have any information like that.

If we had to guess we would say that almost nothing will change....but a couple of things may come in to line...this is all mereley speculation...the things to consider are what the current differences are that affect rakeback

Bonuses (UB650/AP750)
AP make no deductions from MGR
UB deduct 25% from MGR

Rake Calculation
UB currently uses the dealt hand calc for rake
AP uses contributed (weigthed)

UB dont include SnG/Tourney fees in MGR
AP do include them

there may be others, but we dont think either site will be disbanded. It will simply be like Party and Empire.
Most players (non rakeback) will not be aware that the two sites are even on the same network so there is probably no need to upset the apple cart by changing existing bonus and points systems at each site.

Kind regards
