Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
It is usually best to check/call with an underfull and hope to induce a bluff by a missed draw who puts you on same. It's less likely QT is out because you hold 2 Ts, and someone with QQ would have pounced on the turn if they played it slow on the flop. But it does happen, as does the ugly Q4. Playing it weak like this on the river to induce bluffs (or a bet from bottom set) makes up for some of the times you will be beat.

Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
Bluff must have read the hand wrong since it's pretty goddamn hard to induce bluffs in position. Generally, against reasonable opponents, I'd bet about $100 here and fold to a check-raise, enough that I'll get called by 44 if he thinks I might've been semibluffing the whole way. If your opponent is annoying enough to smooth call with TTP twice on a regular basis I'd go from my notes and check behind. The only time you get called on the river and win is against 44, a badly played AA or KK, or possibly something like AQKJ that rivered trips.

Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
Yes I did misread the position. I would play in position as Rempel said with going for a check behind against habitual slowplayers sometimes.

Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
Aha. Lack of sleep makes me more retarded than usual.
In that case, unless one or the other of my opponents is more aggro than usual, I probably still bet out most of the time. If the button is super-aggro I'd check call. Given the way the hand played out, against average players you're probably up against two straight draws but it's quite possible that QT or Q4 are out there. If you ended up losing to QQ I'd go ahead and make a note that that dude is the nittiest mother***** ever because no way should he be smoothcalling that turn card unless he had AQQJ with clubs or something. |

Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
I'd bet 100 and expect not to be called most of the time, called by KQJ9/AKQJ/44xx a little bit, and raised almost never.

Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
With no read I probably bet 120 here and fold to a push. You might get paid off by a lone Q and most opponents won't raise you with a worse hand. I agree with Bluff/Therempel about check/call first to speak or against a very aggro opponent, but normally I think there is still a small bit of value to be had here by betting.

Re: what do you guys do on these rivers?
I would check-call, hoping to induce a bluff.
