UTG calls t20, UTG+1 calls t20, MP1 calls t20, <font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to t120</font>, <font color="gray">BB folds</font>, <font color="gray">UTG folds</font>, UTG+1 calls t100, MP1 calls t100

Flop: (t410) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
<font color="red">Hero bets t300</font>, UTG+1 calls t300, <font color="gray">MP1 folds</font>

Turn: (t1010) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
<font color="red">Hero bets t1060 (All-in)</font>, <font color="gray">UTG+1 folds</font>

What do you guys make of this? I knew if I didn't bet the turn I would probably be bluffed off this hand which is hopefully still the best hand? It's $5 so he may well have had the A or drawing to a flush or has a lower pp.

It was a very scary turn card but I think you played it right. At this level weak players will often call this flop with AK, but it could easily be a low pair or a suited king.

if you felt like he would fire the turn with or without a hand then check and call when he pushes, that way you get to showdown against his entire range instead of only hands with an A or a 9 (which is pretty much all he calls your push with)

This will only work if you have a solid read on villian that he is going to push a lot of different hands if you check...

I just think that any sign of weakness will induce most $5 players to bet here.

Maybe weak.. but so early on I dont want to risk it all to a A floater. Check and fold if he pushes..
You are still on approx. 1100.

i don't like the turn shove; you're only getting called by hands that beat you and are letting your opponents off easily if they are behind.

i think you have a couple of options; i mean the A is scary but not necessarily the end of the world (unless your opponent lets you know.) If you get bluffed off the hand you still have plenty of chips and a lot of time.
