Another harsh response for the OP. Sorry but I'm just not as polite about these things as I once was. OP can either accept the advice given in this thread or dismiss it and continue to tell himself he's actually a good player:

I know Tunica style poker very well and am familiar with all the rooms. The poker there is not really that different than anywhere else.
You are not a very good poker player. Period. Everyone in this thread can just tell that by a couple of the really incorrect things you have said.

"I am pretty confident in my skill level so I know I'm not the problem."

This makes you absolutely no different than almost every other bad player out there who is also confident in their skill-level.
The truly good players are the ones who can recognize the flaws in their game and work to get better.
If you are capable of being a good player you will actually learn something from the advice given in this thread instead of dismissing it or arguing against it.

The other players are pushing with lots of bad cards and you don't even have an awareness of how to combat this or what you should be doing. It's extremely profitable yet you think it's exactly the opposite.

Study. And work on your game.

In other words, you are under bankrolled for this game.

Exactly right. OP is a stereotype poker mark for that reason. Someone who is under-capitalized and uncomfortable with losses thus unable to afford the risks that are vital to maximize EV.

I would also say that it is almost impossible to make a living (even as a professional) from raked B&M (one table) 1/2NL unless you happen to find a particularly reliable and juicy game with deep stacks. The game simply isn't big enough. You won't find genuine professionals playing 1/2NL except perhaps online or passing the time waiting for a bigger game.

Sad luck for you dude, it used to be New Orleans and now the plague had to move since their ain't many live bodies there. I guess it doesn't get very far, very fast- must be that Southern Heat.

I have always been told that most folks will bet on if the sun is going to come up in Tunica.

I cannot wait to get down there..... just strap on my seatbelt and hold on huh....

Pretty much. You'll see plenty of passive players that will limp every hand if you let them....but if you turn up the heat a little bit, most will loosen up. Like I said, lotta of them will see the turn with any 2 cards.

It's not uncommon for the action to go....limp, limp, limp, limp on the flop...to raise, reraise, allin, allin on the turn.

I need to go now then : )

I guess I need to play during the day time hours, right?
Does anyone know a good casino to do this? I want to play from around 2pm to 8 or 9. Is that a better plan?

Well, thanks for any input guys.

I'm sure if you go to dealer school you can find a job dealing during those hours. Probably the only way you'll ever be +ev in poker.....

Setzer,
As opposed to spewing profanity, perhaps you should read the comments which say you need to improve your game. If you use the site to search for books or for strategy discussion, you might actually improve.
If you take the approach that you are playing well but the bad players keep you from winning, you are likely to find the real world far harsher than this board.

Haha now this is getting funny. Dude chill out people are trying to help you. My earlier post might not have been as nice and you apparently wanted, but I'm pretty sure what I said was accurate. Same for all the other people in this thread. I'm glad you know you need improvement. Consider some of the things in this thread and you will be on your way.
