ufc 72 + 73 on bodog
Lines are open at bodog:
Rich Franklin -200 Yushin Okami +160 Phil Baroni -135 Frank Shamrock +105 BJ Penn -450 Jens Pulver +300 Aderson Silva -165 Nate Marquardt +135 Sean Sherk -205 Hermes Franca +165 Tito Ortiz -135 Rashad Evans +105 Tito Line looks really good to me. Thoughts? Rich Franklin line also looks good. They say rich has a standup advantage. They make it sound like yushin is better on the ground, which I dont believe is the case. Rich's ground and pound look MUCH more devastating than yushins. |

[ QUOTE ] Take Evans. [/ QUOTE ] This is the only one that looks good to me. [/ QUOTE ] Looks like I lost money on tito from you guys are saying. Why does everyone think this? Tito just came off of a title fight. He got his ass kick, no doubt. But his ground and pound is good IMO and so is his conditioning. I missed the Evans vs Stephen fight (maybe that is a huge piece of information). Evans isnt even close to a title shot and he looked horrible throughout the TUF. I saw the brad imes fight and brad sucked. I think I saw his last fight where he finished with a head kick. I think tito has fought way harder fights and should be more than a -135 fav. I dont know how deep anderson silvas game is. Hes a hell of a striker and his clinch is crazy. I also have no idea who nate is at all...sounds familiar (was he on TUF?) |

bebo,
you need to see rashad's last two fights. judging him for the way he fought in the ultimate fighter series is a joke. i agree with everyone else. i think he should be a slight favorite in this fight. |

Re: ufc 72 + 73 on bodog
Correct picks:
Okami Baroni Pulver only because he's such a dog. Still think BJ will win but you can't pass up +300. Marquardt, Anderson's ground game is terrible. Nate will control him on the ground and grind out a decision. Sherk's too strong for Franca. Evans, but this is a tough one. I wouldn't bet on it, it's too close. |

Re: ufc 72 + 73 on bodog
Yes, Tito's gnp is good, but Evans' wrestling is much better than Tito's. I really like Evans here as I feel this is just a bad match up for Tito.
The question for me is when to bet it. The line has already moved slightly in Tito's favor. Will it continue to do so? Speculating line movements is something that I havent not gotten a grasp of yet. |

how much cooler would tennis be if the players had pre-match interviews where they talked smack about how weak the other guy's game was and how they're going to go for pegs?

Watch Evans progression from the TV show to his most current fight. His skills are growing at an insane rate. Tito is past his prime and one demensional these days, he's also afraid to exchange with anyone (don't count the Shamrock series). The cards are stacked against him. And I strongly believe Evans has him dominated in all catagorizes. If Tito doesn't pull a win at Arco I doubt well see him on another card once the contract is up. Evans now = Tito back in the Guy Mezger days. Plus... this is the year of underdogs. Why not ride the rush with a very strong underdog in this one. |

Performify, good to see another knowledgeable person also thinking Okami by unanimous decision.
