I play poker? (8-16) hand
First time in about two weeks.
My image was all over the place(because I was) at first. Raising in some interesting spots, playing kinda weird, but running super hot, talking a fair amount. Then I didn't play a hand for like 90 minutes, but now I am acting up again. Aggressive preflop, never stopping post flop, but showing a hand when I am called. Literally one person folded(full table) and I checked in the BB with AJ diamonds A67 two spades. SB checks, I bet, UTG folds, Frond raises, folds to guy with about 15 chips in front of him who three bets, and its back on me? I think Frond has like AT-A6s, 66, 77, spades, or every once in awhile 89. So I think I got him a fair amount of the time - and obviously someone with 15 chips is probably dying to give them away so is this a cap? |

Yuck. Raise pf and you wont get all these A-rags going crazy. I personally would cap here and reeval after a turn raise, and the decision would be heavily dependent on who makes that raise.

Re: I play poker? (8-16) hand
How can you not raise pf. You ought to raise here like QJs+ AKo TT+. Terrible! This is like a 2-3 sb mistake, which is huge!
I really feel like folding to the threebet if the 15 chip (I take it these are small bets, so he got like 3.5 big bets) wasn't this short. Now i think its a cap. If frond gets aggressive on your turn bet, I think you should fold. |

How can you not raise pf. You ought to raise here like QJs+ AKo TT+. [/ QUOTE ] sheet man. i raise 9Ts+(mabye as low as 67s), most any pp, maybe J9s+(def. QTs+), sometimes any suited ace but def. ATs+, AK. AJo easy check. AJs easy raise. don't hate money. as for the hand. the board is really drawy and we've sort of underplayed our hand...but i'm calling to see what frond does. he'll cap any set/twopair for sure and since he's the one i'm worried about i'll wait to see what he does. if he calls i usually donk a safe turn. we should prob. consider c/r the 15chip guy on the turn, but the board is too drawy to risk it in such a big pot. |

Re: I play poker? (8-16) hand
Like Tyler Cracker used to say is a "Slam Dunk" PF raise.
Those small stacks at times have the opposite and are dying to get their $ in with a good hand. |

Raise preflop.
Cap it on the flop. |

Re: I play poker? (8-16) hand
OK PF sucks I guess
Onto the flop when it was two more back to me I thought to myself, if I cap, I guess I have to bet the turn, and if I am raised the turn I might just explode. So I just called flop. At the same time, if I cap on the flop Frond folds hand I am getting value from on the turn. The turn was the Qs completing the flush. At this point the guy with no chips had maybe a bet left. So now what should I do? |

OK PF sucks I guess [/ QUOTE ] To put this in perspective, Ed Miller says raising 72o pf is a smaller mathematical mistake than your pf check. A2s is close, 22 is close, 87s is close, ATo is close, QTs is close, AJs is not close at all. |
