Default 50NL: Hero faces bizarre river overbet with KK

Odd numbers on villain: 15/6/2/300 hands...but a bet river percentage of 47%. I mean, that is twice a neutral number.

..................................................

Did villain miss his turn c/r and is desperate for value now? Did he get lucky on turn? Is he bluffing?

My eyes were transfixed on his bet river percentage as I thought about it. I kept thinking: "He bets half the flops he gets to".

Everyone ok with turn check?

And anyone wanna talk about merging ranges? lol

Thanks.

Hero folds and wonders what a turn bet woulda induced. I think given the stats on villan that 99/JJ definately here the vast majority of the time.

Whats odd is the post flop aggression is only a 2.00. That makes this look strong. I dont think you see AK/AQ/QQ to warrant a call...IMO....I fold.

Imo your turn check is perfect... I would have played it the same way and folded the river. but the 47% bet river percentage seems odd, i canīt really make any sense of it...

Sorry, above sentence should read "He bets half the rivers he gets to".

Turn check is debatable. However, I think with your turn check you've induced a bluff, as your hand screams AK / AQ, no? Having said that, you are still behind his range on the river unfortunately.

Merging ranges in this hand is useless IMO, since he called a 3bet OOP.

(I really think he had JJ here and missed his river c/r)

wow... I actually changed my mind while typing this post, lol
