5 CD DRAW 2/4 LIMIT.
In the BB with 10H,10C,Ac,5C,9C and everyone at the table calls but one. 5 players in the hand. Do I have a better chance at winning this hand by dropping the 10H or keep the pair? TY in advance for any responses.

Re: 5 CD DRAW 2/4 LIMIT.
I'd drop the T, if you and another 1 card draw hit, then you will likely have the better hand. You probably also improve to a winning hand more (assuming TT is behind) by drawing to the flush instead of drawing 3.

Re: 5 CD DRAW 2/4 LIMIT.
The chances of improving to trips when drawing three cards are about 12.5% or about 7-1 odds. The chance of making flush is 1- (9/47)= 1-.19 approx 5/1. So assuming that we need more than 2 pair to win the hand, drawing to the flush is best.
There was an 2+2 article recently on a similar topic http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/i...isch0807.html. |

Re: 5 CD DRAW 2/4 LIMIT.
The math in that article is wrong. You don't improve to 2 pair when drawing 3 44% of the time. It's much lower.

Re: 5 CD DRAW 2/4 LIMIT.
15.99% to draw to 2 pair, 28.71% to draw to 2 pair or better.

Re: 5 CD DRAW 2/4 LIMIT.
Thanks. Improving to 2 pair or better is what I meant.
