didn't he have 6 outs? 3 aces for higher pair and 3 queens to straight up

and i think the aspect of it being a bad beat is when he put the money in, if he had called preflop(still a bad call with K2) and then hit the King and pushed all -in and then got drawn out on it'd have been a worse beat, but he was so far behind when he put his money in, he was lucky to even be ahead at any point in that hand

[/ QUOTE ]

He never called it a bad beat, he said the poker gods had to needle him by letting him suck out on the flop only to get resucked on the river. I don't think you know anything about poker considering you said "he was so far behind when he put his money in..." k2 vs aj is far from "so" far behind.

Dear god man, think for a second before posting..

if it had been said in a light-hearted tone, fine. But Antonio was very sincere, in my opinion. And true friends don't treat each other that way. That's was BS.

[/ QUOTE ]

Antonio is BEST friends with Phil and Jennifer both,... he was making an obvious friendly needle essentially saying, i am jealous of you Phil, you run so good in life. There was absolutely NOTHING genuinely mean spirited about this and I would jab my friends in the exact same way .

Hellmuth has to be one for sure. Doyle Brunson was not on form either in all of his appearances.

Haha I think it was Antonio who had a comment to him like, "Phil, do you ever shut up?"

And then Laak ponders for a little bit and goes, "Ummmm, no. No I don't."

This has been one of the most entertaining PAD shows I've seen thus far. There's been some interesting hands along with some very interesting table talk.

I agree about it being one of the most entertaining matches to date. It even has a small Hellmuth blowup. Kind of surprised the thread isn't getting more love, doesn't even have half the posts from the week before. Would highly recommend watching it online if people haven't already done so.

So, supposedly they put up their own money, pay for their own drinks (or at least tip) and get nothing for the TV time. Man, I want to produce this show. Easy money.....

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah but its a great deal for the players too. They are getting a ton of airtime on NBC.

I dont know about Sheiky, but the 5 others benefit from the exposure. Helmuth and DN make multi-millions a year because of their fame, The Mouth and to a lesser extent Lak and Antonio also benefit.

I know it's like the latest craze around here but OH MY GOD I can't stand Phil Laak anymore. His CONSTANT nittery is so agonizing to watch and listen to. Sheik made a standard raise except he cut his chips out past the betting line and Phil was all over it like "CAN HE DO THAT!?" Then a few hands later he thought Antonio shorted the pot so he physically reached in and tried to count it and the dealer had to tell him to back off because he couldn't do that. Then he reached across the table to count out Antonio's chips himself. Calm the [censored] down!!!

Every time he raises it takes him about 2 minutes to do because for some freaking reason he has to verbalize counting the pot and thinking of a number. Then just now he took about 5 minutes to fold T9 to a big preflop allin and then he screamed at the dealer to rabbit hunt the entire board for the camera and threw a hissy fit when they wouldn't allow it. I seriously want to strangle the guy. Never in my life did I think I'd root for Sheikhan.
