Default WSOP ME, 99 facing a flop decision

Hero has 21,500 to start the hand. Blinds are now at 200/400

Villain has the most chips at our table. He has about 58,000 and has just been moved. He is in his early 40s

Preflop: Hero has 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero raises to 1,200, CO calls, Button calls and says "Let's see if we can busted AA"

Flop: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets 2,000, CO folds, Button makes it 10,000, Hero?

What do you put button on? I don't think he would play a set this fast.

This was a critical hand, really tough and I am still thinking about it

Yeah, it seems like a pretty easy fold. There's really no reason to lose your whole stack on this hand with almost no information on villain. The only thing that would put a bit of doubt in my mind is his quote before he called. This would lead me to think he might have a hand that the average poker player thinks can crack aces, in this case likely something like 78cc 76cc, 86cc, etc... Even with that it's still a fold though.

In my experiance whenever someone mentions AA, or says AA might get in trouble in this hand, or something like that...They have AA.

This is a fold given the flop texture, it would be a harder question if you had an overpair. Also, what's hero's position, depending on that I think I would have liked a limp.
