50 PLO- bottom fh on scary board
reads- villain seems decent, hes a little too loose and more on the passive side, but i havent seen him do anything way out of line.
50 plo (6 max) effective stacks- 50 dealt to hero in bb K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] preflop- limp to button who raises to 2.75, sb folds, i call, limper call. flop (8.5)- 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hero checks???, utg pots, button folds, hero calls??? turn (25.5)- 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hero checks???, utg checks river (25.5)- 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hero checks, utg pots, hero folds... comments on all streets appreciated. im mainly concerned with flop and river, should i block river? i didnt because i felt like if i 1/2 potted it i would probably make a crying call if he shoved with the odds i would be getting. ps my plan for the river was to c/c <3/4 pot, is that ok??? |

If you call flop, then you should bet river. If he is passive and will fold against a scare card bet 3/4 pot on the turn.

Fold flop is standard. Straight and straight draws, flush draw, sucks for you.
Anyone raise pre-flop? |

Re: 50 PLO- bottom fh on scary board
given the way u played it, i prob pay of on the river, otherwise why call the flop in the first place. Prob best line out of position is just to fold that flop and save yourself the headahces later on.. but once you call the flop, if anything you did get the river card you were ofter, i generally if in that situation check and call, this way you loose the least and win the most, especially that a check may encourage a bluff..
Also chances are at significantly higher that he has a straight, perhaps with a moderate flush draw on that flop then a set over two pair with the 8, and checks the turn for pot control, and perpahs fires the river with a moderate flush hoping youd pay him off....either way i call this |

Re: 50 PLO- bottom fh on scary board
You played this pretty bad. C/c on flop is fine. If you were deeper I'd think about leading the turn but stack sizes mean you'd have to call a shove, so c/f turn is fine. Given how you got to the river, you have to call any size bet.
