Default $1/$2 - TPTK on river, pretty good board... value C/R??

I used to valuebet this river about 9/10 times, but I am just experimenting with things in my game at $1/$2, one of these things is checking rivers with medium-strongish hands when a lot of draws miss more often...

Obviously thats what I'm doing here, I will probably call most bets up to a full PSB, but when he bets so small I think I can get more value on this river, likey?

im not sure how much i like this...

we check river hoping he fires with a missed draw right?
but then we raised, so were now hoping he calls with like KQ/QJ/88 etc?

the thing is that if hes calling our river ch/r with a bare Q (he would have to suck pretty bad), then hes definitely calling if we just fire river in the first place - and we can bet signifigantly more than $70...

so i guess i much prefer either
1)betting river for 80 or so
2)check/calling river as plannned
3)or ch/r'ng an amount much more than $70 - maybe like 100-110.

what are villians stats, regardless maybe raise a bit smaller so that he might try to make a hero call, maybe like 60 instead of 70 i dunno maybe thats no difference i think hes calling here with KQ outta confusion though however i dont know about weaker made hands and obv any missed draw insta folds but if thats the case u made the max by checking

it just depends on the villain whether checking/leading the river is better. i don't think there's much value in a c/r unless he's really really bad.

I like the check, but no point in raising

disagree with alot of this thread, i definitely think there is value in raising here. especially given his bet sizing/play thus far (ie. limp/calling pf/etc).
