good, if this is your first time 4 betting unless he is a total donk, he likely didnt hit a piece of that board/folded but its a fine play.

Re: AA all in on flop NL cash 100
hrmm, im not so sure he is just looking to know it's a fine play, I mean obv to shove AA in a 4bet pot on a one high card flop is going to be a winning move most of the time, very few times will somebody have you beat, but im pretty sure the issue we need to look at is how to extract maximum value. You say it's the first he's 3bet, can you put him on any kind of range iron(don't know how long you've played with him this far)

Re: AA all in on flop NL cash 100
i heard this advice somewhere, "never" 4b pre ip (obviously barring extreme cases)...
i think that's good advice for getting max value in this situation edit: obviously as played shove is the best |

i like it - this of course depends on the donk level, but generally, you have great chances to be called with any pair.

Re: AA all in on flop NL cash 100
primo: once he 4 bet pf, his options with a 100bb become very limited.
Checking: terrible with club draw etc, giving villian free card 3/4 pot: would be about ~40 bucks, leaving you with 22 behind... looks fairly strong shove: only real option, villian might call with fd, KJ+, 88+ , open shove looks fairly bluffy here. |

If someone is 3 betting every other hand, I 4 bet to get more value out of my hand and to get control of the hand. 2. If I am playing a complete donk I will 4 bet because they aren't going to fold any hand. |

Re: AA all in on flop NL cash 100
as far as the 4b goes, I've been exploring it a little more in my game. If you are 150bb deep (obv not the situation here) I think it can be quite handy depending on the game dynamic. With just 100bb its not so great, but perhaps if I had 4b less it would be better.
In this hand, he called my shove with top set - JJ |
