Re: WSOP ME Hand: TT facing an overbet
insta fold, nothing more to really be said. give him a range of opening, a range of calling, and see if you are ahead of either. my intuition would be no.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] the only problem with that is, you win 11K when you're right and lose about 35K when you're wrong. [/ QUOTE ] no, about 18% of the time when you're wrong, you win like 50k! [/ QUOTE ] On average you lose about 27K against a big pair. [/ QUOTE ] You are forgetting the case where someone at the table folds a T, or both tens were folds. |

Re: WSOP ME Hand: TT facing an overbet
Thanks for all the replies. Some good feedback. Seems like a decent amount of support for both pushing and folding.
Well, I pushed. The CO immediately groaned, obv not happy. After about ten seconds he called and flipped over AKo. He saw my Tens and wasn't happy. When he spiked a King he was though. Tough spot, still not sure what I would do if I was in it again. I later ended up busting on an 80-20 beat about 200 from the money. |

[ QUOTE ] I actually dont mind flat calling and open pushing any non AKQ flop [/ QUOTE ] explain how this is greater ev against the mid pair/AK/AQ portion of his range. [/ QUOTE ] In a tourney like the ME I'm willing to sacrifice a little EV to reduce risk because its so damn soft. 2/3 of the time you hit a safe flop and win a decent pot, and 1/3 of the time you still have a nice stack to abuse these ppl with. |
