Hidden Brag: "I rebuy for my last $100, and shortly thereafter realize I have enough $20s in my wallet to buy in for a full $200"

Huge Beat: "I get up to about $300 then take a break for a little to eat a tasty breakfast burrito, and when I finish eating the game is 4-handed."

What's that saying again?

hmm, was this at Bay 101, san jose. Sounds eerily similar to sessions I've had there...

No, it was off 101 about 200 miles south of Bay 101 just north of Santa Barbara. I know this because I have played there before and was [this close] to playing there last night on my way home. Five buy ins in this game is pretty standard. When I played in in on my birthday I almost cried it was so bad but it was rundown city because most of the players 1)are horrible and don't know any better and 2) just rebuy 40bb and do it again.

A lot of casinos have capped your buy in in NL at 20-40 BB in order to keep the customers from going broke all at once.

I have a story about playing at the Tachi Palace in Lemoore on Thanksgiving Night and the next day but I'm not gonna start by hyjacking OP's thread.

BTW OP, you go to SLO or UCSB?

DJ Sensei, will you come down here and give me lessons on how to pwn live poker? Plz?

[/ QUOTE ]

sure, you just have to hook me up with the girl that runs the list!

how far is this place from san fran, assuming train-based transportation?

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't promise a hook up, as I've never thought of anything more personal to ask her than "So what nights do you usually see an Omaha game going on in here?" but getting you in the same room with her is a treat in itself. You just have to promise not to give me any details if you hit it, because I will enter into a downward spiral from which recovery is unlikely. San Luis Obispo (where I go to school) is a 3-4 hour drive from SF, so I'm not sure how to convert that into train time, but I know you can take Amtrak from San Jose. The casino is an hour further south once you get here.

What's the beat, the burrito or the shorthanded game? The burrito was very far from a beat, it was possibly the best breakfast burrito I've ever eaten, and it was only $3 on top of that! It was probably the best deal I've ever gotten on a meal!

Shorthanded is probably a beat, I suck at that, especially live where people don't fold and you have to show them good hands to win.
