Re: Another shoe thread - what to wear with my suit?
OK, OK. Here are some pics. The reason I didn't put in any initially was because I couldn't find any pics of my suit on the net. The picture I took is really not ideal - it's a pretty basic suit though. It's black. That's it, seriously. Since it's Emporio it feels nice and is tapered pretty well to my build (I'm 6'4" and pretty slim, with an athletic build). However, that's it.
Current shoes are VERY meh. The best thing to be said about them is that they are black and they fit. They need polish, badly. |

Re: Another shoe thread - what to wear with my suit?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Classic styles are timeless, unlike this wide and squared off toe trend I see a lot of people my age wearing. Man that [censored] is ugly. [/ QUOTE ] Agree 100%. Unless your last name is McDuck you should never wear those godawful things. [/ QUOTE ] Embarassingly, my current shoes have the squared toe - in my (weak) defense, pointed toe shoes can make my foot look REALLY long and clownish, since they're already big. I did try on a pair this weekend (Mangini, I think?) which fit but extended about 2 inches past my toes, which looked a bit much. |

Re: Another shoe thread - what to wear with my suit?
Looks pretty good - anything else in case these don't fit? They don't have my size on the website.
Hmm, actually I wonder if I can find this here in Chicago - there's no Emporio store here. There's Giorgio and AX but no Emporio. Maybe they'll have it at Saks or Neiman Marcus. |

Re: Another shoe thread - what to wear with my suit?
[ QUOTE ]
Wearing a suit with rubber soles is like going all in UTG with 72o in a NL tourney. You can do it, you might pick up the blinds, but its a -EV move. [/ QUOTE ] tt - we are normally in general agreement on such topics, but i think this is off a bit. i mean even besides the awful poker analogy. i have a pair of prada lace ups that have a thin rubber sole and are so clean that they are my default choice when wearing a black suit. |

Re: Another shoe thread - what to wear with my suit?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] disregard the brown boots above, unless you are wearing your suit at some event at a camoground. Look at black kenneth Coles, they have very nice shoes. [/ QUOTE ] Disregard the advice above, until Kenneth Cole starts using leather soles it's pointless. Wearing a suit with rubber soles is like going all in UTG with 72o in a NL tourney. You can do it, you might pick up the blinds, but its a -EV move. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] Not sure when the last time you looked at a pair of Kenneth Coles, but they make plenty with leather soles. Hope this helps you and the OP. |

Re: Another shoe thread - what to wear with my suit?
Even so, I don't like Kenneth Coles. They aren't comfortable and they feel cheaply made when I wear them.
