Default NHL 08

ZOMG, this looks amazing. I feel like Cartman waiting for the Wii and want to find a mountain to freeze myself for the next month. They've updated last years skill stick so you can actually push the puck around players to go get it, looks like they've actually put real cycling into the game for the first time ever, and the create a play feature looks amazing. It is going to be ridiculously tough waiting for next month.

Is this for new generation consoles or will they have these features for PS 2?

I still have PS2 and have no intention of upgrading anytime soon.

In my opinion, skill stick is the single best sports feature that I can remember. You just felt so much more connected with the game when it's not just banging on the buttons, but actually deking around a defenseman then flicking up on the stick to burying it past the goalie. It took a little while to get the hang of it, but once you did, it felt great. The main problems with it were that once you got pretty good with it and could exploit the defense's flaws, it was a little too simple to break on net, do a little deke to move the goalie and score. If the AI improves and actually stands people up at the blue line and sometimes forces you to play a little dump and chase game, combined with the new ability to engage the D one on one, I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a game.

I can't wait for it, it looks really good. 2K8 looks great too.

I still wish they'd include broken sticks sometime
