Default 2 Hands

Decent 8/16 game with some tough spots. Both are 9-handed.

Hand 1: BB is playing straightforward. I have not seen him do anything spectacular. He has not been out of line, either.

Preflop:
2 limpers, I raise A 10 o from the CO, folds to BB who calls, limpers call.

Flop: 3 5 10 r
BB bets, 1 limper folds, loose passive limper calls, I raise, BB 3-bets, loose passive folds, I cap.

Turn: 7 (puts two clubs on board)
BB bets and says, "AA and KK no good." I call? BB bets in the dark.

River: 5 I...

I'm thinking I should have folded the turn. Any comments?

Hand 2: HJ here is the same player as BB in the previous hand.

Preflop: 1 fold, I raise red JJ from UTG+1, folds to HJ who 3-bets, folds back to me and I cap?

Flop: 10 7 3 w/ 2 diamonds
I bet, HJ raises, I call?

Turn: 10 (not a diamond)
I check, HJ bets, I...

Upon reflection, there seems to be very few hands HJ could have here. He plays very straightforward. I'm thinking TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, maybe AK [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Hand 1: I wouldn't cap the flop on a board that dry. I'd probably just call down from the flop 3bet.

Hand 2: Given his description, I'm guessing his preflop 3betting range is something like TT+, AKs, maybe AQs? If that's the case then I think I just call the 3bet preflop and go from there. I think I'd donk this flop and fold to a raise - I'm assuming an unspectacular straightforward kind of guy like him isn't raising the flop w/ AdKd?

Hand 1, I dont cap the flop. I just call down, I dont give much credence to his speech play.

Hand 2, I call the 3 bet and c/r flop. Or b/3b flop if villain doesnt c bet often. If villain 3b a c/r or caps our 3 bet, I call down. It will cost me 2BB but I have a hand that is good more often than not.

I'm not sure I like my line that much since folding the flop w/ an overpair feels gross. However, do you -really- think your hand is good more often than not? What do you think this villain has that we beat if he 3b your c/r or caps a 3bet? I'd be very surprised if this guy gets that aggressive with AKs/AQs.

hand 1 just call down after the flop 3bet.

hand 2 either call down as played or maybe even lead the turn. you definitely have enough to showdown, but the second ten will probably scare him into just calling down even if he does have you beat.

don't fold either of these hands please.

"BB bets and says, "AA and KK no good." "

He's telling the truth. Unless they are spazy, people very rarely talk without monsters, although this may be my no limit experience colouring things a bit.
