Default What do you do with QQ in this situation.. I really HATE this spot

I'm always so lost with what to do here. Do I shove this flop bet or lay this down right away on the flop?

I just say down, no reads on villain

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $9.50
BB: $7.35
UTG: $27.65
Hero (MP): $25.00
CO: $31.90
BTN: $6.70

Preflop: Hero is dealt (6 Players)
UTG raises to $0.85, Hero raises to $2.90, 4 folds, UTG raises to $6.00, Hero calls $3.10

Flop: ($12.35) (2 Players)
UTG bets $12.35...

Well, I doubt he has a set, because that'd be a really retarded way to play 66-99. Or T7/57 for that matter. I mean, he's unknown, so he could be crazy, but most of the time I'm getting it all in here. If I'm not willing to get it in with QQ on low flop, then I'd just fold to his 4bet pre. I think homeboy shows up with TT/JJ, missed AK, or something completely offbeat like 73 of spades often enough where this is +EV. Basically we are afraid of KK or AA, and I say get it all in.

Without a read I fold pre-flop to his 4bet.

Board: 8s 6s 9h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 55.694% 53.30% 02.39% 21635 971.00 { QcQd }
Hand 1: 44.306% 41.91% 02.39% 17013 971.00 { TT+, AKs, AKo }

I guess it's more or less a flip.

Is folding QQ to a 4-bet a big leak at 25NL?

If my 3-bet is just called, and UTG bets big on flop, again do I shove?

The thing is at 25NL I really think the majority of players have a much tighter 4-bet range. Something along the lines of AA-QQ and AK. That being said we are no longer a favorite.

Board: 8s 6s 9h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 45.421% 42.28% 03.14% 12140 900.50 { QcQd }
Hand 1: 54.579% 51.44% 03.14% 14769 900.50 { QQ+, AKs, AKo }

Vs an unknown I'd say he 4bets PF with AA-QQ, AK since AA/KK are less likely than AK and there's money in the pot already -> shove (or look at above equity post and see that with the money in the pot already you pretty much have to shove with 42% equity)

PLN note: pot to stack ratio is like tiny, you're committed and like the flop

you can't call this preflop 4bet and then decide not to shove if you have an overpair since that is the best hand you can reasonably expect to have after the flop. And if you think that shoving on the flop will be a losing play against him, don't call the 4bet in the first place. But as others have pointed out, that is certainly not a good play.

OTOH there is a good chance that you will only be called by AA, KK when you shove here. So I like flat calling as long as you don't fold later in the hand (unless an A or K hits. Because than you are probably totally dead).
