seat four I would take for Aces up, with a high big pair underneath that they stubbornly stayed with. Usually its hard to say a situation to leave on 6th with that much in the pot, but I can't see any chance of you winning, unless all he has is aces. If you make a second pair it won't be a high one, trips is dead, you have no straight and no flush. I'll bet he had Ks, with no K on the board, seat 1 might have a low straight or is chasing one. On fifth I might not have betted only because I'd feel its not going to do anything, but its hard to give a free card on fifth, so thats something I would just have to feel at that moment. I can't say i def would or def not.

Clearly, I am donking around on the wrong site.

I'm with you on third and fourth. Even if you know that you're going to get fifteen callers, your Aces are worth a raise. When you still get that many callers on fourth and your hand starts falling dead on fifth, I think you need to take a step back. It's unlikely that you're going to drag this pot without improving, and all of your cards have at least one mate gone. I think you should check and hope that the rest of them follow suit. Same with sixth.

I need to work on my reading comprehension. Checking isn't an option on sixth, is it? Your cards are dead, but you've also seen a lot of cards. I think the pot is big enough that you need to see if you can buy another pair. Not that I'd be that excited if I got there....

disclaimer: I suck at stud high more than any other poker game

that said, I'm check/something fourth, check/something fifth, and/or check/something sixth

("something" may include any of the three options depending on the action)

6th is an EZ, but tough fold. Looking at 2BB (6th and 7th) maybe more if seats 1 or 3 hits. You might get a check down 7th , but I doubt it. Three potential drawing hands to your dead 2nd best. You need a hit and then a check down.

I love wired live PPs on 3rd, with 2 two Aces out, in multiway hands. Huge moneymaker.

After you were able to let them all face that double bet on 4th and nobody flinched I'd check 5th. This is especially so since your cards are very dead. In these situations I always try to remember some good advice I once read but only sometimes am able to follow. I no doubt paraphrase:

"If, everything considered, you hope it will get checked through this street, don't screw it up by betting."

Regardless, fold 6th.

Sounds like a good game if they are putting this much action in on every hand. But I think you need to consider check/folding on 6th. I would imagine seat 3 or possibly seat 4 has got you at this point.

believe it or not, I was ahead no 6th as it turns out. seat 1 is a donk who played every hand so I discounted him. I went into super spew mode and raised putting the new aces on a spade draw... the other 2 hands folded. If igured that would buy me a free showdown; I paired up on the river and he hit his flush (didn't have a second pair) and bet..... wha whaaawwwww

At the time I was looking at this hand as, man did I get unlucky - got the whole field out of the hand eventually and then get drawn out on on the river.

Looking back I really butchered it; I think I should have just checked 5th and saved about 4 bets.
