This is a very interesting summary and at the same time I feel there could be scumbags in vegas running a seminar on this very process right now.

this thread makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out...

she got unlucky if this is true, but mostly through her own stupidity. If any random member on this board was in a similar situation, they would've been laughed off this site.

Brandi, what exactly were you trying to achieve by posting this long rant? Was it simply a cathartic exercise for you? I (along with others) had the distinct impression that you were trying to get money, and nothing has really changed that...

Seems like you've had real-life experience. I know it sounds crazy, but maybe get a real job? Poker obv. isn't for you.

And to the people saying that anyone who is giving her a hard time is being insensitive, gimme a break.

Im sure that his side of the story would go something along the lines of,

"i was holding her $12k bankroll, i kept entering her into tournaments, and she lost almost all of it. a lot went towards travel expenses, and then i gave her the last 500 that i had left of it".

Me either

I also cant believe no one mentioned the irony of Dutch Boyd being the #1 hope to to get back stolen poker money...

Oh and Brandi I think your first mistake was wanting to get poker advice from Captain Tom, you might as well have stayed home and watch professor77 videos to prepare for your big events that you shouldnt be playing.

I think it's pretty clear that her motives are twofold. One is revenge toward Franklin for not giving her the money she thinks he owes her. The other is an appeal for help from readers here. However the help she seeks is evidently of a precise nature for which Betty's generous and legitimate offer does not qualify.

Wow.

To Brandi, you've admitted to making some extraordinarily bad judgements in this thread, and I hope you learn from these mistakes.

No matter how much of the account presented here is true, it is obvious that many in the poker world, just as in "real life", are out to take advantage of others.

Unless you can look at everyone with a healthy dose of skepticism, the poker world is definitely not a place you need to be.

Assuming all this is true and you are bothered about it to as great a degree as you say, I hope you get some counseling, and soon.

If getting this off your chest in this forum helps, good, but seriously, get some professional help before you make mistakes that will make the ones already made pale in comparison.

Don't we have freedom of speech?

[/ QUOTE ]

If I had a dollar for every time some [censored] who thinks he understands what freedom of speech means incorrectly uses it, I'd be rich. No, you don't have freedom of speech on a privately owned message board.
